Here we will learn a really fun song by Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton.

It’s quite an easy drum part with just two main beats, but it throws some fun challenges in there. The first thing to notice is that the rhythm is swung so it is based on the triplet subdivision.

It also starts with a verse rhythm that is almost entirely played with the feet. So those two aspects combined might catch you out at first. 

Once you get comfortable with the verse you will learn the chorus groove. It is based upon the verse groove with some extra elements added in.

And that’s it for grooves. We then just need to learn a few triplet fills to make the drum part interesting.
