Here we are learning one of the most sampled break beats of all time. A rhythm that is the foundation of jungle and drum & bass. A groove that is heard across hip hop as well as many other genres.

This is the Funky Drummer played by Clyde Stubblefield. It's a drum break that occurs in the James Brown track of the same name. 

It's a seriously funky groove but it's also incredibly challenging with 16th notes played by the right hand throughout, syncopated ghost notes on the snare and interestingly placed open hi-hats.
